Library

• Point Qaudio at your music folders and it reads title, artist, album, genre, BPM, duration and cover art automatically (mp3, m4a/aac, flac, wav, ogg, opus).
• Stays responsive with 5,000+ tracks: progress, cancel, incremental rescans, missing-file flags.
• Instant search (Korean/English, prefix), genre chips, BPM range, column sorting, smart filters (recently added, BPM bands, never played, no BPM).
• Genre tags are normalized to dance genres (salsa, bachata, kizomba, merengue, cha-cha, tango, swing, zouk, cumbia) and can be edited.
• Tracks without BPM are analyzed in the background (genre-aware tempo range, confidence shown).

Playback

• Two decks (A/B), gapless playback, 0–12 s equal-power crossfade, original tempo and pitch always preserved.
• Auto-mix: the next queued track is pre-loaded and takes over on the other deck when the fade time is reached.
• Master limiter, level meters, waveform minimap, output device selection, click-free start/stop/seek.
• Click the waveform or drag the playhead to jump anywhere in the track. While dragging, only the preview moves — the actual seek happens once when you release, so there is no stutter. Seeking during playback offers an Undo for a few seconds.
• Headphone pre-listening: audition the next track on headphones while the speakers keep playing. Cue volume and a “next track only / blend in what is playing” mix are separate controls. You need two output devices (a DJ controller or USB audio interface); plug one in and it activates without restarting the app.
• Set where the next track starts: click or drag the waveform on the idle deck to mark a start point, and the track takes over from there. Handy for skipping long intros.
• Queue and playlists (drag reorder, play next, shuffle), M3U/M3U8 import/export, play history and counts.
• Repeat: keep it on and the queue loops back to the top, so the music never stops mid-party.
• The crossfader paints the A/B balance in two colours — the area each colour takes is how much of that deck you hear.
• Keyboard shortcuts (Space play, Q queue, X fade, F11 second monitor, Ctrl+F search, …) and media keys.
• MIDI controller support, any model: in Settings, press Learn next to a function and move a knob or button — that control is mapped (14 functions: transport, crossfader, volumes, seek, headphone cue and more). Knob values pick up smoothly instead of jumping, and mappings can be exported and imported.

Live board (for dancers)

• Dancers scan the QR or enter the 6-character room code at qaudio.jennysoft.co.kr/live/<code> and see now playing, up next, genre, BPM and progress within a second. No app install, works on mobile data.
• Offline fallback on the same Wi-Fi (LAN address), and a full-screen board for a second monitor or TV.
• DJ message bar: pin notices such as "Tonight: salsa 3 : bachata 3".
• When nothing is queued, the board says “No track queued” instead of leaving a blank space.
• Set planner: set target counts per genre, compare with what has actually been played, get the next genre suggested, fill the queue by plan.
• Audio files never leave your computer — only track info, a small cover thumbnail and messages are sent.

Also

• Dark pro-audio design from 1024×640 up to 4K, Korean and English UI (follows system language).
• Settings, library and queue are stored locally and restored on restart.
• Auto-update via the website feed, third-party license notices included.
• Everything is unlocked for 30 days after installation. After that, register your product key and license file to keep going — registration works without an internet connection.

Known limitations

• The 3-band EQ controls arrive in a later version (the engine already has them).
• The “blend in what is playing” side of the cue mix is a separate playback of the same track on the headphone output, not a tap of the speaker bus. It is fine for checking a track, but EQ and volume changes are not reflected and there can be a small timing offset (up to 10 ms).
• MIDI controllers are supported through learning only for now (per-model presets come later), and controller LED feedback is not driven yet.
• Writing edited BPM/genre back to file tags will roll out starting with mp3.
• The Windows installer is not code-signed yet; SmartScreen may warn ("More info → Run anyway").
